# Third-party artwork on checkmyip.com

Everything below is served same-origin from this site; no third-party request is made for any of it.

## Simple Icons (CC0 1.0) — `/logos/*.svg`
Brand glyphs copied from the `simple-icons` npm package (15.4.0 and 16.35.0), released under CC0 1.0 Universal
(https://github.com/simple-icons/simple-icons/blob/develop/LICENSE.md). The brand colour simple-icons publishes is
baked in as the fill. Simple Icons' disclaimer applies: the icons are trademarks of their respective owners; the
project does not grant any trademark rights. Upstream: https://simpleicons.org/

## flag-icons (MIT) — `/flags/*.svg`
Country flags (4×3) from the `flag-icons` package by Panayiotis Lipiridis, MIT licence
(`/flags/LICENSE.txt`). Upstream: https://github.com/lipis/flag-icons

## Official provider files — `/providers/*`
Brand files from the site owner's provider-logo kit (October 2026), kept byte-identical to the kit (SHA-256 recorded
in `src/data/isp-logos.json`). Source pages: T-Mobile brand-assets page; Wikimedia Commons file pages for Verizon,
Singtel, Telstra, MTN, NTT Docomo, stc and Amazon Web Services; press/media pages of Bright Data, Oxylabs, Decodo,
IPRoyal and SOAX. Rights status for every one of these files is **"not reviewed for this deployment"** — the kit's own
classification. They stay in use only under the nominative-use rule below until the owner's rights review says otherwise.

## Owner's network-identity SVG kit — `/network-assets/*`
The connection-type illustrations under `/network-assets/categories/` are original CheckMyIP artwork (October 2026 kit;
`src/data/network-assets.json` records every file's SHA-256, source and rights). They are category pictures, not
organisation logos and not evidence that a connection type was detected: the measured state is printed in a separate badge.

**Tor.** `/network-assets/official/tor-wordmark.svg`, `tor-onion.svg` and `tor-browser.svg` are the official, unmodified
files from the Tor Project brand-assets page (https://styleguide.torproject.org/brand-assets/), used under the Tor
trademark and brand policy (https://www.torproject.org/about/trademark). *Tor and the Tor Onion logo are trademarks of
The Tor Project; all rights reserved. This site is not endorsed or sponsored by, or affiliated with, The Tor Project*
(https://www.torproject.org/). The wordmark identifies a Tor-exit result only; the Tor Browser icon is a browser-product
asset and is never shown for a network result.

**VPN providers.** `/network-assets/providers/{nordvpn,protonvpn,expressvpn}.svg` are Simple Icons exports (CC0 1.0) and
`windscribe.svg` is the official Windscribe logo file served by windscribe.com, downloaded unchanged. A provider mark is shown
only when the network registry names that operator (name match, not verified) — never merely because a VPN was detected.
The kit's own note applies: these are identification references, not endorsements or blanket trademark licences; the
owner reviews the applicable brand terms before production use.

## Trademark rule
A logo on this site identifies the provider a network, browser or operating system is registered to or reports itself
as (nominative use). It never implies endorsement, partnership or affiliation. A provider logo is matched by the name in
the network registry, not by verified ASN ownership, and the page says so beside it. When no brand matches, the site
shows a two-letter monogram, never a guessed logo. Rights holders can ask for removal via the contact page.
